"Rooted in Christ, Growing Together"

Religious Education

At Holy Trinity Primary School we aim to teach children a very good standard of Religious Education. We celebrate and teach Christianity along with other faiths, including Judaism, Islam and Hinduism.

Voluntary Aided schools must provide Religious Education according to the terms of the School’s Trust Deed. At Holy Trinity Primary School this has to be consistent with the faith and practice of the Church of England and the Methodist Church.

Religious Education is very much an important part of our curriculum here at Holy Trinity. At KS1 we teach RE for 45 minutes per week, whereas in KS2 we teach RE for an hour every week.

In September 2017 all classes began to follow the South Gloucestershire RE Scheme of Work. We encourage visits and visitors and we love to represent the faiths of children in our classes in a positive and inclusive way. Below is a link to the units of study for each Year group.
